3 General information
Table 1 and figure 1 provide details of the spring clippart number and associated assembling rivet in refationto the installation hole diameter.
4 lnspection requirements prior to instal-lation of spring clip
Check the installation surface and holes and spring clipto ensure they are:
– in conformance with the design drawing;
-clean and free from burrs and any foreign objects.
The installation surface shall ensure a full contactbetween spring clip and bracket.
The spring clip installed on aluminium or magnesiumalloy components shall be lightly smeared on its basewith a suitable compound to prevent electrolyticcorrosion.
5 lnstallation tools
The tools shall correspond to the state of art to realisefitting with the fasteners type and size in accordancewith the assembly drawing.
Tools engaged into spring clip shall have an overalldimension less than the inside wide “D” for a minimumlength “c” in order to avoid permanent deformation ofthe spring clip (see table 1 and figure 1).

6 lnstallation procedure
Method of assembling shall be made in the state of artto realise fitting with the fasteners types and sizes inaccordance with assembly drawing.
