1Scope
This standard specifies the design and dimensions of taper stud tees (stud run) with type W port as inDIN 3861, for use in compression coupling assemblies.
ln combination with fittings as in DINEN ISO 8434-1，series L and S fittings as specified here areinterchangeable with DIN3944 male stud tees.
NOTE: Tightness of the assembly cannot be guaranteed since this is a function of the medium conveyed,
the working pressure and temperature, and the combination of materialsused.Therefore, when designingcompression couplings as specified in this standard, use of a seal is recommended.

3Dimensions and designation
The design shown is for illustrative purposes only, but the dimensions of stud tees shall be as specified.
Designation of a taper stud tee (stud run) with stud end with metric thread (M),light duty series (L), made of steel(St), for a 12 mm pipe outside diameter (12):

For pipes with an outside diameter up to 12 mm, either type F or type P tees will be supplied. lf a particular typeis required, the symbol denoting the type shall be included in the designation.
